Copyop Social Trading, found online at Copyop.com, is a company that says they want to provide both beginners and experts with a beneficial new way to invest, by having the chance to “copy” successful traders.
How Does It Work?
This company says that they were founded in 2012 and have “hundreds of thousands of loyal users from around the globe” who have financially benefitted from using their specific approach to investing and trading.
This approach is to give their traders a way to Watch or even Copy other traders who are also using this investment platform. This allows new, struggling, or inexperienced traders to be able to follow the actions and investments of more knowledgeable, successful investors, so you can make money despite your lack of personal know-how.
The Watch option allows members to simply watch the traders they’ve chosen and make the decision on their own when to follow the trades they have made, while the Copy option means that your chosen trader’s investments will be completed on your behalf.
In addition, their website says that they offer mobile applications to keep traders in touch while on-the-go, and that all their products are available in several different languages so they are accessible to people all over the world. They also provide a team of professionals who offer “24/7 support and guidance.”
This service is actually free of charge as long as you register with their investment platform, Anyoption, which is owned by the same company that runs Copyop Social Trading. Customers do not need to pay for Anyoption either, though they will have to deposit a minimum amount of money - generally $200 or $250 - in order to begin investing.
As an investment company, there is really no available Refund Policy. Instead customers are welcome to withdraw their money according to this website's Withdrawal Policy.
Customer Service Contact Info
Customers who would like to contact Customer Service with any questions, concerns, or complaints can do so by email at Support@Copyop.com or by submitting them directly to their website through their Contact Us link.
This company seems to have many different websites recommending their services, but unfortunately all of these websites appear to be partner websites or affiliates, making it difficult to determine how unbiased these reviews are.
There are also some serious concerns about this company given the fact that they are a financial intuitions that is located in Cyprus, an island where financial companies are famously based if they want to ensure they are beyond the reach of American and European financial regulations. Copyop Social Trading does say that they are regulated by the Cyprus Securities Exchange Commission (CySEC) and registered with the South African Financial Services Board (FSB), which means that they are compliant with many different European regulations.
That being said, CySEC has still been frequently criticized for punishing financial companies much less severely than the other European financial regulators, which still allows Cyprus based investment companies to take more risks than other companies might.
Also, this company doesn’t spend much time or effort explaining that binary options trading and forex investing – the areas in which Copyop Social Trading operates – are some of the highest risk, most volatile types of trading people are doing today, often times more similar to gambling than to traditional types of investment. This means that while watching successful investors may give you a leg up, it is still incredibly easy to lose your money with this kind of investing.
Competitors and Alternatives?
There are many different kinds of companies that use this same method of investing, allowing their members to watch the investments and choices of other successful investors. Customers who are interested in this kind of investing format will need to find a company that legally operates in their country of residence.
